The newest instalment in Ollie’s adventures will be published in the UK on 23rd April 2026 and in the US on 8th May, both with Simon & Schuster.
When Ollie hears a buzzing bee outside her window, she can’t resist going outside to watch it! But she’s disappointed to see the bee soon flies away – there aren’t enough flowers in her garden to keep it busy! Ollie decides to follow on her bicycle and see where the bee goes. It leads her to a secret garden full of wildlife, sparking her imagination and inspiring her to create a paradise for insects at home. With seeds, a bug hotel, and plenty of patience, Ollie shows that even the smallest spaces can make a big difference.
This was the first test piece I painted of Ollie dressed as a bee! Ollie’s Busy Bee is the first book in the series which shows Ollie riding her bicycle. It was a lot of fun imagining the basket, ribbons and flags she would have !
And because of all the tiny creatures that Ollie sees, there’s also some fun close ups!
